Chino California

Chino is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is located in the western end of the Riverside-San Bernardino Area and it is easily accessible via the Chino Valley and Pomona freeways.

Incorporated in 1910, Chino has a rich agricultural history which is noted in the city’s motto: “Where Everything Grows”. At one time the premiere center of dairy farming in the country, Chino in its more recent history has seen growth in other areas. Since the 1970s, a significant influx of business and industry has taken root in the city, which has developed into a well-established residential area infused with a well-rounded commercial presence.

Chino is a part of the Chino Valley Unified School District.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 29.7 square miles (77 km2).

According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Chino has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate.

For a small city, Chino offers a good mix of recreational, educational, and cultural sites to see and visit. Prado Regional Park provides an inviting rural getaway, offering a variety of recreational options on more than 2,000 acres in the Chino Valley Basin. Visitors can enjoy fishing, camping, horseback riding, picnicking, boating, and more. Located at the Chino municipal airport is the Planes of Fame Air Museum. The facility displays aircraft which span the history of manned flight, including numerous milestone-achieving test and research flight vehicles. The airport is also home to the renowned Chino Air Show, held annually in the spring. Also in town is the Chino Youth Museum, located in the historic First National Bank building in downtown Chino. Opened to the public in 1999, the museum chronicles the history of the Chino area and features interactive learning exhibits. There are many other sites of interest as well as world class attractions in Southern California and Chino’s central location affords easy access to all of them.
