Los Angeles County Floor Removal Details

Los Angeles County, officially the County of Los Angeles, with a population of more than nine million people, is the most populous county in the United States. The county contains more than one quarter of all California residents and is one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the country.

Los Angeles County is one of the original counties of California, created at the time of statehood in 1850.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has an area of 4,751 square miles (12,310 km2), of which 4,058 square miles (10,510 km2) is land and 693 square miles (1,790 km2) (15%) is water. Los Angeles County borders 70 miles (110 km) of coast on the Pacific Ocean and encompasses mountain ranges, valleys, forests, islands, lakes, rivers, and desert.

Los Angeles County is home to many world-class venues where people can enjoy the arts and culture of this region. The spectacular Walt Disney Concert Hall, one of four theatres that make up The Music Center along with the Ahmanson Theatre, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Mark Taper Forum, are home to resident companies including the LA Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Center Theatre Group and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

The County’s parks and recreation system includes 63,000 acres of parks, lakes, trails, natural areas, and gardens, including the Arboretum and Descanso Gardens, and the world’s largest public golf course system. These include 87 regional and local parks, 344 miles of horse and hiking trails, 19 golf courses and 31 public swimming pools. The County has teamed with the private sector to offer additional amenities at its parks, including boat and bicycle rentals, hot tubs, recreational vehicle parks, equestrian rentals and boarding, and the Raging Waters water park.
The County Public Library serves 51 of 88 cities and unincorporated areas through 84 community-based library outlets, including four bookmobiles. The County also oversees two world-class museums, the Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum.
